Cat Rolfes with friends The Victor Brown Band
A roots rock singer-songrwriter that blends laid-back Chicago soul, gritty New Orleans R&B, and a bit of frisky funk.
Cat Rolfes grew up in New Orleans and was exposed to the city’s multicultural melting pot of music early on. She first started writing and playing music as a child and took in the unique genres of the area – jazz, boogie-woogie, R&B, blues, gospel, rock and zydeco – as live music was ingrained many aspects of daily life. She continued to perform and write music after moving to Chicago, transporting her swampy R&B and southern rock style up north.
Joining Cat on stage for the second set is the Victor Brown Band, the preeminent Chicago funky jam band that provides old school performance of some of the best music from the 1970s and 80s. VBB’s incredible talents coupled with their remarkable showmanship, brings decades of the best genre to an audience that always finds itself demanding more.
